as partnership of:

‘‘The right to the city’’ is understood as citizens’ activity in urban public space or through the civic engagement of their community.


The project directly addresses the objective of supporting the civil society in strengthening the democracy in Uzbekistan, by developing a civic educational program and infrastructure for capacity building for active and motivated urban activists and civil society actors in small towns of Uzbekistan, aimed at improving the quality of life of people in small regional towns.

Important element of this project is also promotion and protection of fundamental freedoms (in particular freedom of expression, freedom of assembly and participation). This is connected to the urban development aspects of fostering participation of citizens in decision-making processes, together with other stakeholders in the city, such as municipalities, businesses, citizens etc.






The educational process will be developed in a holistic way, all elements will support, interact, work together and empower each other. 

The training courses deliver the educational content and expertise, study visits bring practices and good experiences, local/homework transforms learnings and gained competencies into the practice project work, mentoring peer-to-peer program through all educational process provide individual support for participants concluding all educational process with conference providing evaluation, analysis, and recognition of results, boosting in the same time multipliers effect and next learning process.
