Second Study Visit
Visiting urban participatory cases in Germany in 2022.
Focus
The second study visit to Germany will cover the topic of public engagement with open spaces and activism in the city.
The study visit, in particular, is designed to learn from and with the best practices in Halle (Saale), Erfurt, Weimar, Berlin. The idea is to create a dialogue between the participants and urban activists and engaged civil society actors to understand challenges and struggles of each other and find solutions together. The study cases represent:
- community centers and neighbourhood stores;
- open event locations;
- public parks;
- urban gardening;
- memorials;
- art and graffiti spaces;
- extitutions.

Schedule
The educational process will be developed in a holistic way, all elements will support, interact, work together and empower each other. By the end of this phase we will produce an online platform and training course materials for the second phase.
